Drew Sheinman has left his post with the Breeders' Cup as senior vice president and chief marketing and revenue officer to pursue other business interests, Breeders' Cup announced Jan. 9.
Sheinman joined the organization in May 2013 to lead overall marketing, business development sponsorship sales, television, digital media and communications initiatives for the Breeders' Cup World Championships.
"Breeders' Cup appreciates Drew's contributions to our sponsorship and business development programs and wishes him well in his future endeavors," said Craig Fravel, Breeders' Cup president and CEO.
"These last two years I have had the honor to serve the Breeders' Cup on a global basis and have been fortunate to help advance the extraordinary qualities of what makes the Breeders' Cup and the sport of horse racing so compelling and uniquely valuable within the world of sports and entertainment," said Sheinman. "As I pursue my next chapter I look forward to observing the continued growth of the Breeders' Cup and the industry."
Previous to the Breeders' Cup, Sheinman served as director of sports marketing for Coca-Cola Co. and vice president of marketing for the New York Mets. He also held senior level marketing and business development positions with Baltimore Orioles and Madison Square Garden. He was also founding partner of MAXX Talent and Rockefeller Consulting Group and president of Simon Brand Ventures.
