Trinniberg, winner of the 2012 Xpressbet Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) has been sold and will be relocated to Haras La Concordia in Uruguay.

The 10-year-old son of Teuflesberg  was bought by a coalition of South American breeders, including Haras La Concordia, Haras San Miguel Queguay, and BGC Thoroughbred Stud in a deal brokered by Ricardo Colombo.

Trinniberg is a known commodity in South America, having shuttled to Brazil in 2014 and to Uruguay in 2016-17. The sire has been represented by 29 winners in Brazil, including black-type winner Adaga Do Rei, who has won three times and placed twice out of 11 starts. Trinniberg also has two Brazilian black-type performers in group 2-placed Aristocratica and Above the Stars.

In the Northern Hemisphere, Trinniberg has five winners to date, led by 2017 New York Stallion Series Stakes winner Aqua Bel Sar and Belleville Spring, who was runner-up in the same race. Both stakes horses are from Trinniberg's first crop.

J M Stables bred Trinniberg in Kentucky out of the stakes-placed Goldminers Gold daughter Bella Dorato. Shivananda Parbhoo bought the colt for $21,000 at the 2011 Ocala Breeders' Sales Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training. The owner's father, Bisnath Parbhoo, trained Trinniberg and with him would be first or second in eight graded stakes and earn $1,553,086.

Trinniberg entered stud at Rockridge Stud in New York and stood most recently for $3,500.

Haras La Concordia stands several U.S.-bred stallions, including dual classic winner and shuttle stallion Smarty Jones  and grade 3 winner Ioya Bigtime.
