Jockey Tyler Gaffalione is widely viewed as one of racing’s brightest young stars, and with good reason.
Gaffalione, 24, is a native of Davie, Fla. He grew up in racing since his father (Steve) and grandfather (Bobby) were jockeys. He had his first pony when he was 4 years old.
After Gaffalione earned the Eclipse Award as leading apprentice in North America in 2015, his fortunes continued to rise. He ranked 12th nationally in earnings in 2017 and improved to 11th last year.
