Three Chimneys Farm's Guarana raced just off blistering fractions then tipped out and drew clear to a decisive, six-length victory in the $700,000 Acorn Stakes (G1) for 3-year-old fillies on the Belmont Stakes Day card at Belmont Park.
It was just the second career start for the daughter of Ghostzapper .
Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Serengeti Empress helped set fractions of :21.89 and :43.99 but held on for second in the one mile stakes. Jeltrin finished third.
Final time was 1:33.58. Guarana is trained by Chad Brown and Jose Ortiz guided her to victory.
The Acorn was the fourth of eight grade 1 stakes on the 13-race June 8 program.
