Valedictorian wins the Suwannee River Stakes at Gulfstream Park

Epic Racing's Valedictorian leads a field of six the $150,000 Eatontown Stakes (G3T) at Monmouth Park June 22. The consistent mare hit the board in seven straight races before her last outing and will look to rebound in the 1 1/16-mile turf feature for fillies and mares 3 and up.

Kelly Breen trains the 5-year-old daughter of Temple City  and saw her pick up her first stakes victory over this course in the Jersey Girl Handicap last summer. She made the grade in the Suwannee River Stakes (G3T) Feb. 9, leading every step, then won again gate-to-wire two starts later in the Sand Springs Stakes. 

Valedictorian last faded to eighth after dueling in second in the Longines Churchill Distaff Turf Mile Stakes (G2T) May 4.

Ballybrit Stable's Dynatail, another who likes to run near the lead, has won three of her last four starts. The 5-year-old Hightail mare enters off a victory in the Susquehanna Stakes at Penn National June 1. It was Dynatail's first stakes victory in two years.

Eight fillies and mares gather later on the card going the same distance, but switch to the main track for the $100,000 Lady's Secret Stakes. Courtlandt Farms' My Miss Lilly is still looking for her first win since returning from an eight-month layoff in February. Last year's Gazelle Stakes (G2) winner has placed twice in three starts this year. 

Pink Sands, third and fourth in grade 2 events her last two starts, receives slight class relief in the Lady's Secret in search of a breakthrough.

Former claimer Breaking Bread is making her second stakes appearance after finishing second but being placed first in the Serena' Song Stakes May 11.
