Kintz Establishes Six K's Training & Sales

Scott Kintz, an experienced horseman with nearly 30 years in the Thoroughbred industry, has announced he will be relinquishing his position as farm manager for Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm.
In turn, Kintz has opened Six K's Training & Sales, which will offer a full spectrum of services including breaking, training, lay-up, rehab, sales prep, 2-year-old sales consignments, as well as consultation in buying, selling, and breeding Thoroughbreds.
"I am grateful for the time I spent working alongside Mandy Pope in my role as Whisper Hill's farm manager," said Kintz. "Mandy is a wonderful person and a blessing to our industry. I look forward to continuing a good working relationship with her in the future."
A third-generation horseman, Kintz began his career in 1987 as an assistant trainer for William Helmbrecht Racing Stables. After several years as a public trainer in Florida, Kentucky, and Ohio, Kintz became the farm manager at Taylor Made Farm near Nicholasville, Ky., a position he held for 11 years.
"Scott was a great part of our team at Taylor Made," said Frank Taylor. "His horsemanship and integrity are top notch."
Prior to his position at Whisper Hill, Kintz spent five years as general manager at Woodford Thoroughbreds near Reddick in Central Florida.
"A lifetime of experience with top-notch professionals and a passion for the industry has led me to this decision," added Kintz. "We are very excited about this new venture and the opportunity to help clients reach their goals and succeed at the highest level."
Six K's will be present at The July Sale, Fasig-Tipton's summer yearling sale in Lexington.
