Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 223 selected yearlings for the 99th Saratoga Sale, to be held Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 5-6, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Sessions begin at 6:30 p.m. each day in the Humphrey S. Finney Sales Pavilion.

"We have an outstanding group of yearlings to present to buyers once again this August," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning Jr. "Sire power, depth of pedigree, and quality conformation will all be on display once again at Saratoga."

The BloodHorse MarketWatch again designates Saratoga as the top-ranked North American yearling sale by percentage of grade 1 winners and graded stakes winners produced from horses sold.

This year's catalog cover features Saratoga's most recent collection of grade 1 winners: Rushing Fall, Sippican Harbor, and Stormy Liberal.

A grade 1 winner at 2 and 3, e Five Racing Thoroughbreds' Rushing Fall has continued her brilliant career this year at 4 with victories in the Coolmore Jenny Wiley Stakes (G1T) and Longines Just a Game Stakes (G1T). Mike Ryan purchased Rushing Fall for $320,000 from Taylor Made Sales Agency at the 2016 Saratoga sale.

Lee Pokoik's Sippican Harbor captured Saratoga's most prestigious race for 2-year-old fillies last year, the Spinaway Stakes (G1), in dominant fashion. Offered at the 2017 edition, Sippican Harbor was bought by Gary Contessa for $260,000.

Rockingham Ranch and David Bernsen's Stormy Liberal successfully defended his 2017 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) crown with another impressive victory in that race last year at Churchill Downs. Stormy Liberal went through the Saratoga sale ring in 2013 and was bought back before eventually being sold as a 2-year-old.

"The Saratoga sale is statistically proven as North America's leading source of grade 1 winners and graded stakes winners," continued Browning. "Special horses are sold at Saratoga."
