Colt From Outwork's First Crop Brings $300,000

Hip 134, a colt from the first crop of Outwork, brought $300,000

A colt from the first crop of Outwork  was purchased by Ken McPeek, agent for Walking L Thoroughbreds, for $300,000 during The July Sale, Fasig-Tipton's selected yearling sale July 9.

Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, the colt (Hip 134) was bred in Kentucky by Jose Luis Espinoza and was bought by D W Partners for $50,000 at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. 

The colt was produced from the grade 2-placed Successful Appeal mare Back Spin, a half sister to multiple grade 3 stakes winner Five Iron.

A grade 1-winning son of Uncle Mo , Outwork stands at WinStar Farm near Versailles, Ky., where his fee has remained unchanged at $15,000 since entering stud in 2017.
