Whitney Stakes day is traditionally one of the highlights of the summer meet at Saratoga Race Course. This year, Whitney Stakes day took on additional significance with the July 19 passing of Marylou Whitney. The “Queen of Saratoga” was inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame as a Pillar of the Turf Aug. 2.
