Enable improved her rating from 123 to 126 and moved into second position in the sixth edition of the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings for 2019.
In a compelling renewal of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes (G1) at Ascot, Enable battled with Crystal Ocean and ultimately defeated that foe by a neck. However, Crystal Ocean was carrying three pounds more than Enable in the race, thus allowing him to retain a higher rating. Waldgeist finished third, two lengths behind, and improved his rating from 122 to 124.

Additionally in England, Ten Sovereigns won the Darley July Cup Stakes (G1) by 2 3/4 lengths at Newmarket to join the rankings, and Stradivarius improved his rating from 120 to 121 after winning the Qatar Goodwood Cup Stakes (G1).
In the United States, McKinzie improved his rating from 121 to 123 with his 1 3/4-length victory in the Whitney Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course. Two other horses have joined the rankings after impressing over the same track. Imperial Hint set a track record while taking the Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap (G1) by four lengths, and Shancelot won the Amsterdam Stakes (G2) by 12 1/2 lengths in his first attempt at stakes company.
This ranking is compiled by a committee that includes Nigel Gray, Phillip Smith, and Tom Robbins. The next update will be published Sept. 12.
